4 HUGE matches signed for July 31st in Crystal River!

The fallout from the June 26th event has really put FIP officials on edge this week. Our last event saw the World Heavyweight Champion, Jon Moxley, get pinned in a tag team match, saw Roderick Strong challenge his nemesis Erick Stevens to FIP’s most dangerous match in an effort to settle their feud, and saw Sean Davis use chicanery in an effort to keep the FIP tag Team Titles around the waists of The British Lions, despite Tommy Taylor’s continuing hatred of the situation he and Chris Gray find themselves in.

As a result of all the happenings on June 26th, July 31st is shaping up to be amazing event already with 4 huge matches already signed.

Jon Moxley defends the FIP World Heavyweight Title against the man who pinned him clean as part of their big tag team grudge match, Egotistico Fantastico.

The Dark City Fight Club will get their long awaited two on two shot vs. The British Lions with the FIP Tag Team Titles on the line.

Irish Airborne will return to take on 2 Fast 2 Furious in high flying tag team action.

And the most dangerous match in FIP history returns for just the third time ever as Roderick Strong and Erick Stevens battle it out in the Cage of Pain

FIP Headlines for 6.17.10

STRONG & STEVENS TO BATTLE AGAIN ON JUNE 26th!

But with a twist…

MOXLEY TO DEFEND FIP TITLE IN A 3 WAY MAIN EVENT ON JUNE 26TH!
When Jon Moxley won the FIP title back at Southern Stampede, it was certainly not without controversy. Moxley’s victory came after Roderick Strong was seemingly poised to win the FIP title for a record 3rd time, only to have former partner and current nemesis Erick Stevens cause a distraction that led to Moxley winning the title.

Strong was excited about the opportunity on June 26th. “I know you don’t want any part of me Erick. You proved that at Southern Stampede when you eliminated yourself rather than fight me for a chance at the FIP Title. And Mox, you know if it wasn’t for Erick coming down to the ring, that belt would be around MY waist right now. So on June 26th, I get to take care of 2 birds with one stone. I get my FIP Title belt back, and I get my hands on Erick Stevens once and for all. See you boys on the 26th.”

DARK CITY FIGHT CLUB FINALLY GETS THEIR SHOT!
FIP officials have announced that on June 26th, #1 contenders, the Dark City Fight Club will get their long awaited tag team title match vs Sean Davis’ British Lions. Tommy Taylor, 1 half of the champs was confident, but wary of his challengers on June 26th, “Chris and I take nothing away from Kory and Jon, they are great athletes, and a dominant tag team. Hell they beat our arses a couple of times before, but that was…” Taylor was then cut off by Sean Davis who informed us that no one would speak on the champs behalf but himself.

Davis interrupted saying, “but that was before you were under the guidance of the greatest organization in wrestling today, Heartbreak Enterprises. It was before I was able to take an athlete like Chris Gray, and teach him to overcome his partner’s shortcomings inside the ring and still become a champion. Now that being said, I still don’t think Dark City deserve this shot, haven’t proven anything to me, and are nothing but a pair of common criminals. Well they can be sure these belts aren’t going anywhere. I guarantee it.

FLORIDA HERITAGE TITLE ON THE LINE JUNE 26th
Just before we went to press we were informed that Brad Allen had demanded a match for his Florida Heritage Title on June 26th. He didn’t care who it was or where they were from, only that it be someone who was worthy of a shot and who will put him to the test as an athlete.

After sending out open invitations around the country, FIP officials have signed a man who appeared in the last Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup tournament, a man who has garnered a reputation throughout the US over the past couple of years, and has really picked up momentum over the past 6 months.

On June 26th Brad Allen will defend his title against EGOTISTICO FANTASTICO

FIP Headlines for 5.28.10

FIP WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE DEFENDED IN CANADA

Jon Moxley wasted no time in putting his newly won FIP World Title on the line. Immediately after winning the belt at Southern Stampede, Moxley put out an open challenge to anyone for his FIP belt. Moxley defended the belt as part of Dragon Gate USA’s Open the Northern Gate event in Windsor, Ontario, Canada just outside of Detroit against Canadian challenger Phil Atlas. Moxley successfully defended his title and will be on hand in Crystal River on June, 26th as he has promised to bring…

KAMIKAZE USA TO FIP on June 26th

Jon Moxley was very cryptic after his victory over Phil Atlas in Canada. When asked for his thoughts on coming back to FIP as World Heavyweight Champion he had this to say.

“It feels good doesn’t it? I know it feels good. The things I am doing here in Dragon Gate, the way I am shaking things up for all these “serious athletes” yeah… I like that…I know the people down in FIP don’t like it. They don’t like that their precious World Title has been shamed simply by my winning it. They think I am going to bring scorn on something that took years to build. A legacy built by guys like Homicide, Bryan Danielson, Roderick Strong and Erick Stevens will be wiped off the map…and they’re right. But that’s ok. Sometimes a little uncertainty is a good thing, and I’m gonna make a lot more people’s future uncertain in FIP when I bring Kamikaze USA to Crystal River on June 26th. “

TOP TAG TEAMED SIGNED TO APPEAR ON JUNE 26th

FIP officials have announced that Midwest tag team sensations, Jake and Dave Crist, collectively known as Irish Airborne will be on hand in Crystal River June 26th. When reached for comment Jake Crist said, “It’s been 3 years since we’ve been in FIP, and we are pumped to return. We are 3 years older, 3 years wiser and 3 years better than the last time we came to FIP. The tag team scene in Florida is on fire, and we can’t wait to get there and show FIP just how good the Irish Airborne is.”

Sean Davis of Heartbreak Enterprises Speaks on Tag Team Scene in FIP

Jubilation after The British Lions were successfully able to defend the FIP Tag Team Titles this past Saturday night quickly turned to fear and trepidation as the champs made their way to the curtain. They were met there by Jon Davis and Kory Chavis of the Dark City Fight Club, and the team that many people around FIP call the next tag champs were out to offer a challenge. A challenge that was…and wasn’t… accepted by the champs.

Earlier in the evening Chavis reminded fans that they had beaten every team they’ve fought in FIP and that list included not one, but TWO wins over the current FIP Tag Champs, the British Lions. Jon Davis said they were demanding respect and wanted a title shot on June 26th when FIP returns to Crystal River. The challenge was immediately accepted by Tommy Taylor on behalf of the champs, an acceptance that wasn’t looked upon keenly by the rest of Heartbreak Enterprises.

Sean Davis of HBE, visibly upset at the acceptance of the match by Taylor, hadn’t yet calmed down when he called the FIP offices this morning to state that, “While I agree completely with Tommy Taylor that my British Lions are the best tag team in the world and that there isn’t a tag team anywhere we are afraid to fight. I am afraid Tommy has overstepped his bounds a bit here by agreeing to a title match with the Dark City Fight Club. You see, while Tommy is a great wrestler, he clearly isn’t the brains of this operation, I am.”

“Because I have complete control over the tag team champs when it comes to matchmaking and appearances and merchandising fees, ONLY Sean Davis has the ability to sign contracts for tag team title defenses, or make matches around here. In my opinion the Dark City Fight Club are nothing but a bunch of thugs, and you don’t get matches with the champs by trying to bully them around, and Christopher Gray agrees with me. If Kory Chavis, and Jon Davis want a shot at my tag team champs, they are gonna have to earn it by working their way up to our level. A level they are clearly not on yet.”

FIP Headlines for 4.4.10

FIP Announces next 4 entrants for Southern Stampede

FIP officials have released the names of the next 4 entrants into the Southern Stampede on April 17th, and they are as follows:

Jon Moxley (Evolve and Dragon Gate USA)
“Addicted to Love” Rhett Titus (Heartbreak Enterprises)
Chasyn “Not Cocky” Rance (FIP)
Jigsaw (Evolve/DGUSA/Chikara)

Jon Moxley was a surprise entrant in this event. FIP officials had been attempting to contact him since his performance in the Jeff Peterson Cup, but had been unsuccessful each time. Larry Zbyszko and the championship committee were about to rescind their invitation to the Southern Stampede when this morning a note arrived at the FIP offices from Moxley saying only this;

“Your titles and your belts mean nothing to me, but I will enjoy winning them all the same. Not because I care about being called champ, or saying I’m the best wrestler in the world, but because for once, I want to show all the voices in my head, the ones that scream “you’re worthless Jon, you’re no good” that I am good, that when I decide to be on, that no one can touch me in the ring, and that I am the only one in FIP with the guts to take what he deserves. On April 17th, I am gonna show everyone how good Jon Moxley really is, and that for once when opportunity presents itself, I am going to be ready to capitalize. It’s time for a new beginning and a new life for Jon Moxley on April 17th”

Final 4 Entrants to be announced next week

FIP officials have more confirmations coming later this week. The remaining names will be released at that time.

FIP Tag Team Titles on the line at Southern Stampede!

Final negotiations between FIP and the challengers are complete and FIP has announced that 2 Fast 2 Furious of Nooie Lee and Jerrelle Clark will face the Lions in Crystal River.

Sean Davis of Heartbreak Enterprises had this to say, “Nooie Lee and Jerrelle Clark??? Seriously? Is that the best that FIP can come up with for my champions, the greatest tag team in the world today My British Lions? Well that’s fine, we were looking forward to a night off anyway…Looks like we got one… See you clowns on the 17th.”

FIP extends condolences to the family and friends of Chris "Kanyon" Kluscsaritis who passed away this week at the age of 40. Chris was an outstanding performer who will be missed immensely by those fortunate enough to know him in his career.

FIP Headlines for 3.22.10

FIP Returns to Crystal River 4-17 for Southern Stampede

After a several month hiatus, the stars of FIP make their 2010 debut as FIP presents Southern Stampede. Due to an unforeseen contractual situation with now former FIP Champion Davey Richards, the FIP Championship Committee has declared the FIP World Heavyweight Championship vacant, and a new Champion will be crowned on April 17th at Southern Stampede.

The Southern Stampede will open the show on April 17th. It is a 12 person Battle Royale with “Rumble Rules”. Two men will start out and every 90 seconds thereafter another man will enter. Eliminations are done by throwing your opponent over the top rope to the floor. The last 2 men remaining in the match will meet in a singles match in our main event with the winner being crowned the new FIP World Heavyweight Champion.

The order of elimination of the Stampede will set the order of matches for the rest of the show. The first 2 men eliminated will face off in a singles match, the next 2 as well and then so on until the last 2 men remaining will meet in the main event with the title on the line

Erick Stevens

When asked for a comment Erick Stevens responded that “I have held that belt twice, and twice it has slipped through my fingers. Not this time. They say the 3d time is the charm, well intend to prove that saying true on April 17th. That belt is going to belong to me once again, and this time, I won’t be giving it up so easily.”

Davey Richards dominant 2009 continued this past weekend as he became the 7th man to win the Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup. There is seemingly no stopping Davey in his quest to show the wrestling world just who is the very best in the business today. His “hunt” for the best in competition is taking him to the Land of the Rising Sun in December, as Davey makes his first tour of Dragon Gate Pro Wrestling. He has signed an open contract to defend the FIP World Title while on this tour, but we are awaiting confirmation from the Dragon Gate office in Japan as to when/where those defenses will take place, and versus whom.

One thing is certain, if Richards has his druthers, one of his opponents will be Masaaki Mochizuki, about who Richards said, “One person I'm coming for with a vengeance is Masaaki Mochizuki. He defeated me in 2007 in Detroit and I'm going to avenge that loss. Get ready Dragon Gate, the hunt is on!"

TONS OF NEWS COMING OUT OF FALLOUT 2009

New Champions crowned amid controversy this weekend in Crystal River.

Brad Attitude got a little help from Florida wrestling legend Cowboy Ron Bass and was finally able to overcome the outside interference of Heartbreak Enterprises en route to winning the FIP Florida Heritage Title from Rhett Titus. After the match HBE attacked both Bass and Attitude who were able to clear the ring themselves, but not before the big Cowboy challenged Sean Davis to a Texas Bullrope Match on November 21st as part of the 2009 Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup weekend of events. Davis begrudgingly accepted.

We have new FIP tag team champions after the British Lions’ steel cage victory over Erick Stevens and Roderick Strong, but the aftermath of this match leaves us with far more questions than answers at this point. Clearly the team of Stevens/Strong is no more after Erick’s shocking turn on his partner just as it seemed they were about to grab victory and retain the tag titles, but there is clear disharmony on the side of the new champions as Tommy Taylor and Chris Gray are definitely not on the same page…due to the antics of Sean Davis and some “words of wisdom” from the now departed Nigel McGuinness during and before this match respectively.

We hope to have updates including interviews with everyone involved in this situation in the coming days.

FIP the first to name its 4 entrants in this year’s Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup

This year’s field will represent Florida’s own Full Impact Pro Wrestling, Philadelphia’s Combat Zone Wrestling, Chicago’s AAW and Ohio’s Hybrid Pro Wrestling.

The first four entrants into the 2009 JPC have been named, and come to the field from Full Impact Pro based on results of matches at their Fallout 2009 event, held in Crystal River this past Saturday night. Representing FIP will be:

MSL looks to make waves at Fallout 2009

When the announcement of FIP’s involvement with the Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup this year was made; Mister St.Laurent immediately was on the phone petitioning to have The YRR represented in the 16 man field.

“The JPC brings 16 of the best young athletes in the country down to Florida to compete; well no one deserves a spot in the Peterson Cup more than Sal Rinauro and Chasyn Rance do. The YRR has been a force in FIP for years, and we deserve to be represented in this tournament.”

Fortunately for MSL and The YRR, FIP/Peterson Cup officials agree…sort of.

Thanks to some heavy politicking by MSL, at Fallout 2009 The YRR will get a chance to EARN a trip to the field of 16 for this year’s JPC by winning qualifying matches into this year’s tournament which takes place on November 20/21st, 2009.

In qualifying match #1 Chasyn Rance of the YRR will face former FIP Florida Heritage Champion Chris Jones in a rematch from FIP’s “Unstoppable 2008” event.

In qualifying match #2 Sal Rinauro will face off against TJ Perkins

What will Fallout 2009 mean for the future of FIP?

Three Titles on the line on October 3rd, 2 inside a steel cage, all 3 matches will end the Championship quests for all 3 challengers one way or the other. If Kenny King, Brad Attitude and the British Lions fail to reach their goals of leaving Crystal River with Championship Gold around their waists, they will make the long trek down the cards knowing there will be no more title shots in their foreseeable futures.

Tag Teams have dissolved after failing to win titles, singles wrestlers have moved on to new companies after missing out on their chance to grab that brass ring, and champions have hung up their boots and never been the same after losing their championship.

It is all on the line at Fallout 2009 on October 3rd, and there may be a very different looking FIP in the aftermath of this big event in Crystal River. Don’t miss it!

FIP Headlines for 9.16.09

Challengers face the end of the road at Fallout 2009

The stakes are always high when championship gold is on the line here in FIP, but at Fallout 2009, things just got a little more intense for the 3 challengers on October 3rd.

In an unprecedented move, Larry Zbyszko, head of the FIP Championship Committee announced today that should Kenny King, Brad Attitude or The British Lions be unsuccessful in their attempts to win the FIP World Heavyweight Title, Florida Heritage Title, or Tag Team Titles respectively, that NONE of them will receive another title shot so long as the current titleholders remain champions.

While all 3 challengers understood the ruling, they all had vastly different reactions when reached for comment.

Kenny King replied that, “I won’t need another shot to beat Davey Richards, in fact, I didn’t need the last one, and I didn’t need this one. Everybody knows I had Davey beaten not once, but twice before, so come October 3rd, Davey runs out of shortcuts, out of excuses, and out of time when I get his ass in the cage. That belt is mine, chump.”

Brad Attitude was a bit more reserved when stating, “This will be my last shot at Rhett Titus, and if I can’t get it done, then maybe it is time someone else got a crack at him, but I think I am going to walk out of Fallout as the Florida Heritage Champion, so Larry’s ruling isn’t going to have any effect on me at all.”

Sean Davis of Heartbreak Enterprises, as the man on both sides of this ruling as he has champions and challengers in these 3 matches said, “While I completely agree that enough is enough of Kenny King and Brad Attitude getting title shots at my men, for Larry Zbyszko and that crooked committee to again railroad my British Lions like this is an outrage. Every single month it’s another ruling, another stipulation designed to keep me out of power here in FIP, but it’s ok, because after October 3rd you will all be dealing with the Fallout of Heartbreak Enterprises owning ALL the gold here in FIP”

Florida Legend appearing at Fallout 2009

Cowboy Ron Bass is name very familiar to longtime fans of wrestling here in the state of Florida. He had numerous title reigns throughout his 16 year career in the NWA and WWF, and many fierce battles over the Florida and Southern Heavyweight titles with the great Barry Windham and the Dirty Yellow Dog.

On October 3rd, 2009 at Fallout, Florida Legend Cowboy Ron Bass will be in attendance taking pictures and signing autographs, so be sure to come out an meet a legendary figure in Florida Wrestling history in his first trip to FIP

An Assassin returns to FIP!

Damien Wayne has been out of action here in FIP since parting ways with Sean Davis and Heartbreak Enterprises under less than amicable circumstances, but on October 3rd, Wayne will return to action in FIP, and he clearly has his sights set on Heartbreak Enterprises.

“Sean Davis is a no good, fat effing liar” said Wayne. “He promised me the world when I wrestled for him, and he didn’t deliver on none of it. Then when my partner gets hurt and I have to go it alone, lose a couple of matches, he dumps me like I’m a piece of trash. Well tubby, I’m back, and you and me are gonna meet again. It can be in the ring with one of your stooges, in the locker room, in the parking lot, or on line at the buffet, I really don’t care much where, but when we do, it’s going to be ugly.”

FIP Headlines for 8.14.09

FIP Championship Committee Makes Huge Announcement

This afternoon, on a conference call with Larry Zbyszko, Executive Director of the FIP Championship Committee, we were informed that a major stipulation has been added to the FIP Florida Heritage Championship Title Match between Rhett Titus and Brad Attitude.

“It is the opinion of the committee, said Zbyszko, that as of late there has been far too much interference going on in our title matches and 2 people here in FIP are at the crux of this issue, Sean and Phil Davis of Heartbreak Enterprises. As a result of the constant activity outside the ring by the Davis’ leading directly to controversial finishes in so many matches lately, the committee has decided to bar Heartbreak Enterprises from ringside during the match between Rhett Titus and Brad Attitude on October 3rd.”

When informed of the stipulation by telephone Davis raged, “I have told everyone here in FIP from day 1 that Zbyszko and this committee were a sham, they are nothing more than a way to stick it to me and my brother, and if this ruling doesn’t prove that, nothing will. We are at ringside to provide guidance, wisdom and moral support. Rhett Titus doesn’t need our help to beat that puke Brad Attitude, but it doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be out there with him. We are licensed by the state of Florida and have every right under the laws of this state to be there at ringside, and that’s exactly what we are going to do on October 3rd. Zbyszko, I am gonna sue the pants off you and this stinking company.”

Dark City Fight Club out for revenge

After the beating suffered at the hands of Ron Niemi and his monstrous Shane Twins, we figured it would not take long to get a response from the Dark City Fight Club. Last night Kory Chavis broke his silence and had this to say.

“So Ron Niemi thinks it’s still 2002 does he? He still thinks that he and his boys are the baddest dudes on the block? Well you 3 are in for a rude awakening because those days are over. The Dark City Fight Club are the measuring stick around here, and you just bit off more than you boys can chew, because Jon and I don’t care if it’s in the parking lot, if it’s in the ring, if it’s at a drive through restaurant, or in front of your wife and kids on your front lawn, there’s going to be payback.”

“Jumping us from behind while we are wrestling 2 other guys don’t make you bad, it makes you a punk…You thought you were acting like the tough new guy on his first day in the slam by walking up and smacking us in the mouth? Newsflash son, you 3 make the mistake of showing up on October 3rd and Jon and I will show you what REALLY happens to the new guy his first day in jail.”

Will the champs escape the cage with their belts on October 3rd?

For the first time in FIP history, both the Tag Team Titles and the World Heavyweight Title will be on the line inside of a steel cage on October 3rd, and the bad blood between the competitors continues to boil.

Kenny King said, “Davey knew he was beat 2 weeks ago, but again some goof on the outside has to run out and save him and his belt. I told you all months ago he wasn’t as good as me, told you all I had no respect for him, and told you all I wasn’t finished with him until I took his belt and shut his mouth once and for all, and October 3rd, I am going to do just that inside the cage. Take his belt, and shut his mouth, and there ain’t nothing he can do to stop me. The Pretty Boy Pit-bull is leaving Crystal River with the World Heavyweight Title around his waist.”

Richards replied that, “Kenny King can scream and yell all he wants about what happened the last time we fought, and the time before that and the time before that all he wants, but the bottom line is, I am the World Heavyweight Champ. He hasn’t beaten me, and he won’t beat me, because he can’t beat me…Ever… and when I get him inside the cage, I am going to guarantee he never gets another shot at this belt again, because I am not going to stop beating on him until he never wants to see my face again.”

Tommy Taylor said that he,”expects a tough match with Roddy and Erick, they are some tough guys and anytime you get inside a cage, things get a little dangerous, but Chris and I are confident we are going to win the belts.”

Chris Gray was a bit less democratic in his comments on the match, saying “I pinned Roderick Strong in the 6 man tag, I pinned Erick Stevens in the Texas Tornado match, and you are asking if I am confident we can win the belts?? I singlehandedly have beaten both those guys back to back, of course I am bloody confident we are winning the belts in the cage. The only question remaining is which one of them is going to get beaten up worse when we do it?”

Roderick Strong and Erick Stevens are, “no strangers to being inside the cage, as both opponents and partners,” said Stevens, “but I certainly like it better as partners. Every time we fight these guys things get a little crazy and I would assume this time won’t be any different. If they want to wrestle we can wrestle, but if they want to fight, well then that’s fine too. It’s up to them.”

Strong chimed in, “what’s the old saying? We can do it the easy way or the hard way? Being inside the cage tells me it’s probably going to have to be the hard way, but whichever way it goes, these belts are staying right where they are.”

911 Incorporated lands in FIP!

While the Dark City Fight Club were finishing the task at hand and about to put away The YRR in their No DQ Street Fight, the crowd looked on in stunned silence as Ron Niemi and the massive Shane Twins made their way to the ring and proceeded to lay waste to the team many thought to be unbeatable since their debut in FIP, Kory Chavis and Jon Davis the Dark City Fight Club.

“At first it was for the money of MSL and the YRR” said Niemi. “But the more I read the stories of how big and bad the Dark City Fight Club were, the more I heard about how they were unbeatable, how they sent the Black Market packing and were dominating the tag team scene like nobody else before, I became enraged.”

“You see 911 incorporated and the Shane Twins in particular, have dominated the scene here in Florida for over a decade, and the fact that these 2 punks were being talked about like they walked on water and fed the masses with a single fish was frankly making me sick to my stomach, so we did what anybody who has ever spent a day in jail would have done on their first day in a new joint. We went up to the biggest baddest guys in the place and punched them right in the stinking mouth. We dared them to do something about the fact that 911 Incorporated was here in FIP, were taking over like we’ve done anywhere we’ve ever been, and everyone in the place saw with their own 2 eyes…there wasn’t a damn thing they, or anyone else could do to stop us.”

Three title rematches signed for October 3rd

Controversy was the order of the day on August 1st as there was some sort of craziness involved in the finish of all 3 title matches.

Once again Rhett Titus used the Florida Heritage Title Belt as a weapon to defeat challenger Brad Attitude after getting an assist from Phil Davis on the outside, instant replay was needed to determine a winner in the Tag Team Title match between The British Lions and Erick Stevens/Roderick Strong, and Phil Davis again lent a helping hand in the World Heavyweight Title Match as he flipped the positions of Davey Richards and Kenny King while King had a small package on Richards and seemingly had the title won.

As a result of these 3 unusual circumstances, the FIP Championship Committee has ordered immediate rematches of all 3 title matches. The FIP World Title and Tag Team Titles will BOTH be defended inside of a steel cage, while the Florida Heritage Title will be defended in a match with a stipulation to be announced next week.

When informed of this Sean Davis of Heartbreak Enterprises fumed, “This is a conspiracy against us by Zbyszko and the committee. How many times do Davey Richards and Rhett Titus need to beat Kenny King and Brad Attitude? And while we are on the subject, everyone in the building saw Erick Stevens get pinned by Chris Gray BEFORE Tommy Taylor tapped out... We were robbed of the tag team titles and anyone with half a brain knows it. That’s ok... because after October 3rd there will be no doubt, and Heartbreak Enterprises will have ALL the gold baby”

FIP Headlines for 7.31.09

Last minute News Updates for tomorrow night

Nigel McGuiness Health Update

Former ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness suffered a stinger last Friday night at Ring of Honor’s event in Toronto Canada. He received a cradle piledriver from Jerry Lynn and was taken to an area hospital for testing immediately after the event. While Nigel did have severe neck pain and concussion like symptoms, there was no serious damage to his spinal cord or his vertebrae. He has been cleared to appear and will be in Crystal River tomorrow night to face TJ Perkins.

Bradley Out…SYDAL IN…

Jay Bradley has pulled out of tomorrow night’s show in Crystal River, leaving Chris Jones opponent-less for tomorrow night… That is until FIP officials received a call from an athlete looking to come to FIP and take on Chris Jones in Bradley’s stead. “I’ve heard a lot about Chris Jones, and look forward to the challenge he presents inside the ring. So tomorrow night I am going to show Chris and everyone else in FIP that I too am, “BOURNE TO FLY”

Challenging Chris Jones will be none other than Mike Sydal, younger brother of WWE superstar Evan Bourne.

Shawn Osborne out this weekend as well…

Shawn Osborne sent word to FIP officials that he was fed up with his recent run of bad luck in FIP, and would not be in attendance this weekend. His return is questionable, and calls placed to Osborne for clarification went unreturned.

FIP Headlines for 7.23.09

YRR Demands Special Stipulations

Apparently Mister St. Laurent and the YRR have a bigger problem with the Dark City Fight Club than we had originally been led to believe. Word inside the FIP offices this week has been a series of demanding phone calls from MSL and the YRR attorneys demanding that the match between The YRR and DCFC be held under no DQ Street Fight Rules.

“Kory Chavis and Jon Davis have been running around here for months talking about people ducking them, and who they were going to send to the hospital, and quite frankly, we’re sick and tired of hearing it. It’s time somebody shut these 2 guys up once and for all, and Sal Rinauro and Chasyn Rance are going to do just that, and people see what happens to guys like Kory Chavis who stick their noses in where it doesn’t belong. Chavis and his pal are gonna pay for getting in the way of my business with Kenny King.”

When the quotes/demands from The YRR were delivered to Jon Davis, FIP officials were unsure exactly what to expect in reply. Davis snarled, “Street Fight?? What do you two prima donnas know about fighting in the streets? You want to see what it’s like to settle $h!t in the streets?? You got it, but don’t blame us when it’s over”

Former World Champ back in Action in FIP

Former ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness has been out of action rehabbing multiple injuries sustained during his record setting 18 month reign as ROH Champ. He has been declared fit and is ready to get back into the ring in FIP next Saturday night in Crystal River.

“It’s been a long time since I’ve wrestled in Crystal-meth River, but unfortunately for me, not as long as I’d hoped. That being said, I’ll be there next Saturday night, and I’ll show all you wankers why I am still “The Best Wrestler in the World.”

McGuinness will have a tough test as he is signed to take on TJ Perkins. “I’ve had some ups and downs here in FIP,” said Perkins “and I still want to get my hands on Davey Richards and the FIP Title, but if I have to go through Nigel to prove I deserve another shot, so be it.”

Can Chris Jones slay the Monster of the Midway?

Another 1st time matchup has been signed for August 1st, as Jay Bradley, who has been impressive since coming to FIP gets to take on former Florida Heritage Champion Chris Jones.

“I know Jay is a big guy, but I’ve been in there with big guys before, and I’ve done pretty well for myself. I don’t expect next Saturday to be any different. I’m gonna bring everything I’ve got, and Jay, you better be ready.”

FIP Headlines for 6.25.09

FIP Tag Team Title Match Signed

The FIP Championship Committee has announced that on Saturday night August 1st, 2009 Erick Stevens and Roderick Strong will defend the FIP Tag Team Titles against The British Lions in a Texas Tornado Rules match. Sean Davis of Heartbreak Enterprises said, “I have no idea why the match is being held under Texas Tornado Rules. This is Tag Team wrestling. Having all 4 men in the ring at once pretty much negates the entire premise of it being a TAG TEAM match doesn’t it? Well that’s ok. We already proved my British Lions can defeat Stevens and Strong last month, so doing it again will be a piece of cake.”

Roderick Strong replied, “Yeah they got us last time out in the 6 man tag, but when these belts are on the line it’s a whole different story. Erick and I are leaving Crystal River with the belts. Count on it.”

YRR Issues a BIG Challenge

Things have not been going too well for the YRR of late, but apparently MSL has a plan to remedy that. “Yeah the last few months have seen some upheaval within the YRR, but out of the Chaos comes clarity, and my goal for the YRR has never been clearer, get the YRR back to the top here in FIP, and the best way to do that? Why that’s simple, you walk up to the biggest baddest guy on the block and you smack him right in the teeth.

Last month in Crystal River Kory Chavis got involved in a matter that was of no concern to him when he stepped in to team with Kenny King against the YRR…So Kory Chavis, you and your partner Jon Davis are about to get your comeuppance. Chasyn Rance and Sal Rinauro are going to walk up to you two goofs, and smack you right in the teeth, and there’s nothing you can do about it”.

Kory Chavis responded, “Chasyn Rance and Sal Rinauro are going to do WHAT??? There gonna smack WHO in the teeth??? I sincerely hope for your sakes that St.Laurent has made certain you are current on your health insurance, because that guy’s mouth just guaranteed you a trip to the hospital on August 1st boys.”

World Title Rematch hype heating up

The FIP office has been abuzz since the announcement of the rematch between Kenny King and Davey Richards for the World Title. Kenny King has been sending messages every day from his training facility in Las Vegas for World Champ Davey Richards.

Today’s message said, “It’s all up to him. If he rushes me he will get knocked out quick. Or he can try to wrestle me and get punished. It’s all up to him. I respect him as a fighter but as a man, I don’t respect him. I think he’s a bum. I think he’s a B+ fighter – but he’s a bum and I’ll walk right through him. I will see you after the fight and look you right into the eye and say, ‘See I told you he was a bum.’ I don’t have any respect for him. None.”

If Richards was taken aback by the brashness of the Pretty Boy Pitbull, he didn’t let on. “Let him keep thinking I’m a bum. Let him think he’s going to walk right through me. I destroyed the myth of Tyler Black, I helped destroy the myth of the Briscoes, and of Steen and Generico, so I’ll have no problem destroying the human hype machine Kenny King. The thing Kenny doesn’t realize, the difference between him and I is that he’s almost as good as he thinks he is, but I’m even better than he knows I am. He’ll find that out on August 1st.”

World Title Rematch signed for Heatstroke 2009 on August 1st in Crystal River

After the highly controversial ending to their first battle over the FIP World Heavyweight Title back in June, Kenny King had his sights set on a rematch with Davey Richards with the belt back on the line, but personal business between himself and the YRR needed to be settled first. Saturday evening in Crystal River, King got a measure of revenge over his former friends/cohorts by picking up the victory in his tag team match against Sal Rinauro and Chasyn Rance. Of course it was not without its share of controversy as well, as King’s original partner for the evening, Jason Blade was barred from appearing by the new head of operations of the YRR, Mister St. Laurent.

Paired with the unlikeliest of partners in Kory Chavis of the Dark City Fight Club, King and Chavis picked up the victory, but King immediately turned his sights back to the FIP World Heavyweight Title and Davey Richards. King said, “Man, everybody here knows the pretty boy pit-bull should be wearing the World Title around his waist right now. Davey Richards knows it, the championship committee knows it, and Sean Davis knows it almost as well as he knows the breakfast menu at Denny’s AND IHOP. But that’s ok, nothing worthwhile in life comes easy, and Richards, I know you are going to make me earn it, but I don’t mind that. I enjoy showing people that I am every bit as good as I say I am, and come August 1st, the whole world will know it too when I walk out the door with the World Heavyweight Title around my waist. Holla at your boy.”

FIP Headlines for 6.2.09

MSL pulls power play for this Saturday!

FIP officials were just informed this morning by the attorneys of the YRR that Jason Blade’s contract was still technically controlled by the YRR and that Mr. Saint Laurent, the YRR’s enigmatic senior advisor, has pulled him from this weekend’s FIP event. When contacted in an effort to remedy the situation MSL gave the following statement: “Mr. Blade failed to terminate our legal representation in a timely manner and now has to live with the consequences. I will have him tied up in legal proceedings & out of FIP for a very long time!” It seems that Kenny King will not have his longtime championship partner at his side to battle former stable mates Chasyn Rance & Sal Rinauro. When informed about the situation King said “If I was those three chumps I wouldn’t want to face Jason & myself either. It’s all good though. I of all people know how they operate. Hell, I already beat them in a handicap match & I’ll do it again if I have too!

Attitude geared up for first title shot!

Brad Attitude has been training nonstop for his first FIP World title shot this Saturday in Crystal River against FIP World Champion Davey Richards. “Many people wrote me off after I was released from WWE. But what happened? I made it all the way to the finals of the 2008 Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup & I’ve been undefeated in FIP competition ever since. Nothing has been handed to me! I’ve earned this opportunity and I’m training as hard as I’ve ever trained for this one shot. This match is what everyone will be watching and I will walk out of Crystal River the new FIP World Champion!

Santee to defend Pro Wrestling RIOT Title this Saturday!

Bruce Santee made a very impressive return to FIP last month when he was challenged by Damien Wayne. Santee, who earned a FIP roster spot with his win over Wayne, requested that he defend his Pro Wrestling RIOT title this Saturday against his scheduled opponent Caleb Konley. “It’s been a couple months since I won this title & I really want to defend it against all comers on every opportunity that I can & I can’t think of a better place & time than FIP this weekend!”
